Morgan Wallen was booked as the musical guest for “Saturday Night Live” this weekend but it turns out he won’t be taking the stage at Studio 8H. The singer was pulled from the show after coming under fire for his behavior this past weekend, where he obviously wasn’t following any COVID protocols.
If you are on Tik Tok then you probably saw quite a few videos of people partying with Morgan Wallen…
Morgan took to Instagram to announce that he was no longer going to be on the NBC comedy show, and says he “respects” the show’s decision, noting, “I know I put them in jeopardy.” Although he insists he hasn’t tested positive for COVID, he adds, “My actions this past weekend were pretty short-sighted and they have obviously affected my long-term goals and my dreams,” and he “takes ownership” for his mistake.
He also admits he has “some growing up to do,” and that he let himself down. He explains, “I tried to find joy in the wrong places and it’s left me with less joy,” adding that he plans to take a step back from the spotlight “and work on myself.”
