Airbnb is taking action to stop Halloween parties before they even begin.
With COVID-19 being a big issue, the company says one-night reservations are no longer allowed for October 30th or the 31st. It’s for entire home listings, with other criteria mixed in. Anyone who’s already booked a home will be canceled and money reimbursed.
The vacation rental company says it knows not all Halloween weekend stays are being made for parties, but this is the best way to protect against coronavirus. It apologized for potentially ruining “non-party” vacationers by saying “we understand that this initiative will disrupt many one-night reservations that might not have led to parties.”
