Versace made a big step toward body inclusivity in the designer fashion world by having three plus-size models walk the runway at Milan Fashion Week. Precious Lee, Jill Kortleve and Alva Claire appeared wearing Versace’s 2021 spring/summer collection. It was a first for the fashion house and the models took to Instagram to celebrate the historic moment.

Other fashion houses, including Tommy Hilfiger and Fendi, have also hired plus-sized models to walk in previous shows. While the industry still has a long way to go with inclusivity, this is a step in the right direction.
