The MRL Morning Show

Weekdays 6:00AM-10:00AM

Lots of people have been sent home from school before for something that they have worn to class. I even recall certain hair colors were off the table. Middle school was the time when people experimented with Cool-Aid dyes, purple, red, & blue.

There’s some controversy in Orange County Florida because a 5th grade student was told by his teacher and principal to change his “Hooter’s” themed facemask. The father of the young boy said he didn’t understand why he had to change his mask since he’d been wearing it for weeks. The boy’s father, Greg Golba, really leaned into this one noting: “There is nothing offensive or derogatory about this mask.”

The 11-year-old was told not to wear the mask because it violates the Student Code of Conduct.

So do you agree or disagree with this father who said that the mask wasn’t offensive?
