There’s a reason for say “everything in moderation.”

Medical professionals in China are advising limited use of protein powder following one man’s strange case. The 26-year-old began to workout in order to treat his fatty liver, which included three months on a protein powder recommended by a coach.

However, he eventually began to notice pain in his chest and developing breasts. Doctors said that he may have excessively used the protein powder, resulting in an increase in female sex hormones. While his fatty liver was cured, he now has to slow down on his workout regimen.

Fitness experts say heavy consumption of protein could lead to serious physical damage.
