Mom Shamed For Wearing “Inappropriate” Swimsuit To Baby Swim Class

It’s never right to mom-shame a parent, and when someone does it out of jealousy it’s even worse! Well, that’s exactly what happened to this mom, who took her child…

You know the deal: Wait at least 30 minutes after eating before jumping into the pool, or else your digestive tract will use up the blood that should be going to your arms and legs. This is nonsense, according to Duke Primary Care Timberlyne physician Mark Messick, who says, “the body does supply extra blood to aid in digestion, but not enough blood to keep your arm and leg muscles from properly functioning. Your biggest danger related to eating and swimming is probably a minor cramp.”

It’s never right to mom-shame a parent, and when someone does it out of jealousy it’s even worse! Well, that’s exactly what happened to this mom, who took her child to baby swim class, and the Internet is furious.

A woman shared on Reddit that she recently took her six-month-old son to baby swim class, where she encountered a not-so-nice mom. She writes that while most of the parents in the pool with their kids were fathers, she loves getting into the water with her child, but apparently her choice of swimwear didn’t sit well with one mom.

The OP writes that during class she said hello to one of the new fathers and chatted with him for about 30 seconds. When the class was over, the man’s wife, who was watching the class, came over to her and complained that her bathing suit wasn’t appropriate attire for class.

The woman explains she was wearing a tankini, sharing a picture of a similar one on Amazon. "You could see maybe three inches of my stomach," she wrote. "And not that it matters, but I am completely flat-chested with no butt, so it’s not like my voluptuous curves were a distraction or anything."

The woman said she was “completely caught off guard” by the other mom's comments, and wondered if she was really in the wrong. Well, folks on Reddit completely had her back, with 800 people chiming in.

"That tankini is absurdly modest. She really thinks her husband is going to lose control over a peek of your belly button?,” one person noted. “I think you should invest in something much sexier for the next class."

I agree! What a joke! Jealousy doesn't look good on anyone!
