Do CMS Teachers Feel Safe?

I'm not sure if it's only teachers in California, but those educators are so worried about returning to school so much that they’re preparing wills, yes their will just in case things turn deadly. Okay, we're all going to die, but who knew when signing up to be a teacher that you would need to do this type of prep.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Board of Education approved a hybrid model of learning for the upcoming school year on Wednesday night. All students will go back to remote learning on Aug. 31.

Under this plan, students will be separated into three groups. During the first two weeks of the upcoming school year, students will attend in-person on-boarding instruction on their group’s assigned day. On the on-boarding days, students who are not in the classroom will be able to do remote learning.

Schools across the country have released different plans on re-opening and sending children back to school, so how do you feel about this as a parent? Are you going to keep your kids at home and home-school them after getting a taste of what that looks and feels like? Have you walked your neighborhood to take a poll of other parents with school age kids to see that their plans are?

There's a poll from TruePublic that says:

45% say they would not feel comfortable sending their kids back to school
49% of parents are feeling stressed about money in regards to their kid’s education.
52% of high school & college age students think going back to school in the fall is a ‘bad idea’
69% of students say they learn ‘worse’ from e-learning at home

What do you think?
