News of Jeopardy host Alex Trebek's pancreatic cancer diagnosis shocked the world. He is still battling the disease for the second time.

Alex Trebek has already picked out his successor — Betty White. The 79-year-old who was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer jokes that if something happens to him, he wants someone younger and funnier to take his place on “Jeopardy!”

Alex and the 98-year-old have been friends for years and they share a fun flirtation between them. Back in 2018, she said that she loves the game show because she has a crush on Alex.

On a serious note, Trebek revealed in his memoir, “The Answer Is…: Reflections on My Life,” that he’s undergoing an experimental immunotherapy treatment. If this doesn’t work, he’s gong to stop treatment. The way he sees it, “I’m about to turn 80. I’ve lived a good, full life, and I’m nearing the end of it. I know that.” As for his legacy, he said, “I’d like to be remembered first of all as a good and loving husband and father, and also as a decent man who did his best to help people perform at their best.”
