The coronavirus pandemic has completely halted the world. And it was only a matter of time before this storyline was bound to be reflected in shows and movies.

Greys Anatomy has always tried to tackle current subjects in the past, and this one is no different.

Showrunner, Krista Vernoff said that they are already hard at work on coronavirus storylines for Season 17.

Apparently before every season, the show’s writer meet with real life doctors to hear their stories; which often can be weird, and funny. But writers say this year, it has obviously been quite different. Front line workers have been putting themselves at risk to keep us all safe, and it’s impossible for them not to feel that pressure.

Season 17 of the show hasn’t started filming yet, but I am already excited to see how the show tackles this topic.
