Mass Incarceration & Cannabis Restaurants

Have you joined the legal cannabis movement yet?  Well, the first-ever cannabis consumption-friendly restaurant is now open for business in the U.S.  It's pretty confusing to understand that so many African American men were and are imprisoned for getting caught with little bits of marijuana and sentenced to 10 and 20 years yet we have companies like the Lowell Herb Co.’s pioneering the business concept of serving food along with marijuana products.

Is it now posh to puff?  While it is still illegal to smoke cannabis in public in all legal states, the City of West Hollywood advocated for social use and in 2017, approved an ordinance for business licenses to serve this purpose.

Remember John Boehner, the former Republican speaker of the House of Representatives, and Bill Weld, a former Republican governor of Massachusetts who was the 2016 running mate of Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson? Well, these Cats are joining the advisory board of Acreage Holdings, which owns cannabis licenses and assets in the 30 states where cannabis is approved for medical or recreational use. WOW!
