SEATTLE, WA - MAY 31: A demonstrator holds a Black Lives Matter sign during a gathering to protest the recent death of George Floyd on May 31, 2020 in Seattle, Washington. Protests began peacefully Sunday after days of violent scenes in the city. (Photo by David Ryder/Getty Images)

Activists are looking beyond the protests and the black-out Tuesdays at how community members can then push for change, long-term. Some are suggesting pouring into the local community – specifically into businesses owned by people of color.
