The Francene Marie Show

Saturday 6:00am-7:00am

Court is still in session

Courts are gearing up for June 1st as doors are supposed to open, but it’s best you wear your mask and gloves to be on the safe side.  Believe it or not the 26th Judicial District was still working under a modified court schedule until Monday June 1, 2020, so judges were still conducting business wearing their masks, except when alone in chambers.

Were you one of Charlotte Mecklenburg residence awaiting your divorce or child custody case? Judge Rex Marvel hears cases in Family Court and spoke with Francene Marie about serious cases being heard throughout the coronavirus pandemic because it might have involve the endangerment of a child. Or a domestic violence case putting an adult in danger, but most divorce and child custody hearings are on moving forward June 1st with hundreds of cases.

If you need help with any court proceedings or questions about your court date, the courts are still answering the phones, and you can jump online to find out more about our future as a juror. Do you like to serve on a jury? In Texas the courts are trying out Zoom on Court, or Court on Zoom, which would be interesting to watch, but what if  the person ordered to Court on Zoom didn’t have a computer or internet at home. Oh, I almost forgot to give you the link to Mecklenburg County Courthouse. Here ya go.
