I remember when I was done breastfeeding my son Cash. I looked at my husband Dallas and just said, "I need you to tell me it's okay to quit". Of course, he was supportive, but this guy I read about on Reddit was not!

A mom is ready to stop breastfeeding because her baby is biting her, but her husband is making that impossible. In a Reddit post, she writes that her 10-month-old has recently started biting her while nursing and as you can imagine, it’s pretty painful. So she’s over it and now she’s doing a mix of pumping and using formula. But her husband has an issue with formula not being natural and doesn’t want her giving it to their daughter, so he put a stop to it - by hiding the formula from his wife!

The frustrated mama explains that her breasts now “kind of look like a war zone.” She’s bleeding and sore and “simply can’t take it anymore.” When she started pumping, her husband had no complaints, but he’s totally against formula. He hid the formula so she’d have “no choice” but to breastfeed because he thinks she’s not trying hard enough and told her “a good mother wouldn’t stop doing what’s best for her child simply because she’s in pain.”

Luckily, the Redditors have her back and were quick to point out how out of line this dad is. One writes that this is “just plain awful,” and several share that they’re furious on her behalf. Another user writes, “A good husband wouldn’t gaslight his wife into thinking that she is somehow doing her child wrong by making certain her child gets the nutrients she needs.”
