This is so cool! Last fall, Nike released the Air Zoom Pulse, which is their “first shoe designed for the healthcare athlete, an everyday hero.” And now they’re giving away 30-thousand pairs of them to healthcare workers across the country.
Nike has partnered with Good360, a nonprofit that specializes in efficient distribution of product donations, to get the shoes to workers in hospitals and health systems around the US. The bad news is Charlotte is not one of those cities. Chicago, Los Angeles, Memphis, and New York City, are the lucky recipients.
Healthcare workers in New York City and Los Angeles will also get about 95-thousand pairs of soccer socks with mild compression, according to the company. Nike and the Nike Foundation have pledged over $25-million to coronavirus relief efforts.
