Adele returned to Instagram yesterday, on her birthday, to thank those helping the world during the coronavirus pandemic. The singer wrote, “Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time. I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels. 2020 okay bye thanks x.”
In the photo she posted, Adele is wearing a tight, short black dress with puffy sleeves and high heels. And she looks noticeably thinner.

As with the last few times Adele posted photos, it has sparked a debate online about weight, body image, and beauty. This time, the discussion is more heated than ever. Check out some of the discussion on Twitter.
