Desperate people are taking measures into their own hands with some extreme “DIY dentistry,” as dentist offices remain closed during the coronavirus lockdown. Officials would like to remind people that even though dentists aren’t open for business right now, you shouldn’t be using pliers and whiskey to pull out any teeth. Some people have used videos they’ve seen on YouTube to help guide them as they do some home dentistry. The American Dental Association says “Before you start any DIY dental treatment, it’s important to speak with your dentist about the potential risks and benefits.”
