5 Easter Egg Hunts and Easter Fun in the Queen City
Easter Sunday is this weekend, and we all know it’s about to be the first Easter some of us have ever had without visiting the Easter Bunny, community egg hunts and spending time with the ones we love. Let’s just be blunt…Easter 2020 is definitely a little different than what we expected.
So, I won’t sugar coat it, it’s not going be easy, but we got this and thanks to our community, there are virtual ways you can still celebrate the holiday. Check out this list below and have a safe and happy Easter.
1. Braswell Family Farms: Two Easter activities they are doing are a Coloring Page and a Virtual Egg Hunt. You can see more on their activities for Easter here.
2. Set up a family Zoom call: Easter brunch was one of my favorite things growing up. The whole family together, opening our Easter baskets and enjoying each other’s time. But who days this stay-at-home order will stop that? If you want to see your family and celebrate, whip up your own food and jump on a family Zoom call to share the fun.
3. At-Home-Egg Hunt: Some of us already do this, but if not it’s super easy and so much fun! All you need is order some eggs online for at-home-delivery and fill them up with candies, coins (once they are cleaned) and whatever else you can fit inside. If you need some fun ideas, check this article out.
4. Virtual Easter Egg Hunt: The City of Hickory Parks and Recreation which is held on Thursday, April 9th, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Easter Eggs will be hidden at one of our parks or Recreation Centers, and by using Facebook Live, children will be able to help guide the Easter Bunny as he collects the eggs and safely makes it back home.
5. Live Stream an Easter Service: For a lot of people, going to an Easter service is a traditional thing that this year some will have to miss. But, thanks to many churches a virtual service will be available. You can see more on services in the Charlotte area here.
