The MRL Show’s Operation Kids Care program is officially underway! If you haven’t heard about this heartwarming initiative yet, let me fill you in. Maney’s son Dean has a heart of gold and so does Producer Nicole, so they made a great team heading up this idea.
With COVID19 pretty much consuming all of our lives, Dean and Nicole wanted to do something for the elderly who are living in assisted care facilities. Especially, because right now they are void of visitors for the safety of their residents during the Coronavirus outbreak.
Dean came up with the idea to make and send cards to the seniors inside these homes, to let them know that they are loved and thought about during these crazy times. That’s when Producer Nicole jumped in and offered to help make and gather cards to deliver to our golden residents. Our goal is 1000 cards.
Parents and kids this is where you come in! The kids are home from school until at lease May 15th so I’m sure they could use a creative project to pour their love and kindness into. Join us and make cards to send with positive messages and quotes to let our elders know we care about them. Mail those cards to the radio station at 1520 South Blvd in Charlotte and we will sanitize them and get them into the proper hands of the people who need a little sunshine in their lives.
My son Cashton is doing his part and making cards too. Of course, he needs a little help with the messages (which our Aupair Elena and I are writing for him) but he is having a blast painting and coloring.
