Many schools are closing their doors because of the COVID-19 virus leaving seniors with a short final semester and most likely no official graduation. Briercrest College in Canada is one of them. The seniors on their women’s volleyball team learned their classes and graduation had been cancelled right before their flight home after the CCAA Women’s Volleyball National Championships.

It could’ve been a long, sad flight back, but flight attendants did their best to change that. The cabin crew on their WestJet flight held a small “graduation ceremony” for the four seniors right before the plane landed. They played “Pomp and Circumstance,” had a processional, gave out handmade “diplomas,” and Kit Kats, too.

Congrats to the grads: Ashley Erickson, Kirt Kindrachuk, Rebecca Garner and Elicia Weibe, and to the flight attendants on the Canadian airline who went above and beyond to spread some joy.
