So, how do I get my hands on some of these luxury hand sanitizers I’ve been hearing about? Sure they are “limited edition” but they are not for you and me. As coronavirus becomes a bigger issue than ever, one luxury company is stepping up.
LVMH, the parent company of luxury fragrance brands wants to help the French government, so it’s halting the production of Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, and Givenchy’s perfume and other products to churn out hand sanitizer to help out during this time. The in-demand hand cleaner is being delivered to authorities already, including a network of 39 teaching hospitals that treat more than 8 million patients each year.
I think it’s really cool to see so many companies coming together right now to help out. From restaurants giving away lunches for children who are out of school to companies stepping out of their comfort zone to produce supplies, this just shows that with all the craziness in the world, there is still good.
Of course, hand sanitizer is great but the CDC recommends good old soap and water for at least 20 seconds, so if you have the option between the two, scrub those hands!
