The bad news just keeps coming in. According to ESPN, the Panthers have agreed to let Cam Newton pursue a trade.

Cam’s future with the team has been highly debated for months, however, incoming Coach Matt Rule has publicly stated he would like to coach Cam.

Newton is still owed over $19 million from his current contract and has had issues staying healthy the past few years, but there will most likely still be interested teams out there. This isn’t a final goodbye and Cam could still end up in a Panthers uniform come August, however, it still hurts.

Cam has been an integral part of this community both on and off the field for many years, and we will all be waiting to find out what’s next.
