You know I love custom... especially when it comes to lipsticks. I can't tell you how many times I have tried to recreate a discontinued color or the perfect hue for my skin tone. I'm sure you have  your own personal lipstick graveyard? Most women have a stash of lipsticks that didn’t work out. We hate to admit it, but mistakes were made, sometimes costly ones, and now we’re stuck with tubes we can’t wear because they’re not the color we thought they were.

Well, now Bite’s Lip Labs are trying to change that. The brand’s color experts can whip up custom shades with the right undertones to complement our complexions. They can even re-create a lipstick from that itty bitty nub of a discontinued lipstick you’ve been hoarding, or color-match a favorite dress, purse, or shoes.

The process starts with picking a color family, from classics like nude, pink, or red, to something more edgy, like blue or black. Then customers can choose a texture - matte, satin, sheer, or a sparkly finish Bite calls “luminous.”

They also offer flavors - fruity, fresh, or floral. Then you get to “name it and engrave it” and they’ll keep your “recipe” on file so you can make it again. Of course, this custom lipstick is a bit pricier than one you’d grab at Target. It’s $60 for one and for $120, you get two personalized shades plus a lip-care kit that includes mini versions of Bite’s cult-favorite lip mask, scrub and primer.

I'm all in!
