March 3rd is National Anthem Day. In 2003 Natalie Gilbert of Portland sang the Anthem at an NBA playoff game. She won a contest and was voted to sing, and it started well. Then it went bad, real bad. She forgot the words and wanted to drop the mic and run out of the arena. But Portland's head coach Mo Cheeks went over to Gilbert and pushed her to sing the song. The whole arena sang with her, in a really sweet moment, that gives me the chills.
