Penn State students are mourning the loss of a beloved Taco Bell.

More than 50 students showed up to a vigil over the weekend to bid farewell to the fast food giant’s former location on College Avenue in State College. They gathered to eulogize the cheap food hotspot. Candles adorned the front of the building.

One student wore a taco costume and the crowd joined in singing the Alma Mater and “Amazing Grace” after a moment of silence. The vigil started as a joke on Facebook, but when hundreds R-S-V-Ped to the event, students decided to gather one last time to remember the taste of a cheesy gordita crunch.

Prajesh Patel, a student, organized the event and summarized why by saying “Taco Bell was our home away from home, and added spice to our life.”
