After being dumped by her fiancé for being “too fat,” a woman in the U.K. decided to make some lifestyle changes. Jen Atkin traded her usual weekend takeout and couch potato habits for healthy eating and trips to the gym, which helped her shed 112-pounds over two years.

The 26-year-old admits she was devastated after that breakup, but says it ended up being the best thing that ever happened to her. Atkin slimmed down from a size 22 to a size 10 and has never felt better. She’s since found love again and recently got married and she’s thrilled to be the 75th winner of the longest-running pageant in the U.K.

“When I started doing this, it was just for a bit of fun and I never imagined how far I would come,” says Atkin. “Winning Miss Great Britain marks the end of a long and difficult, but also amazing journey.”
