How Social Media Companies Are Set To Handle Coronavirus Information

Several social media sites are looking at high to calm fears over the coronavirus.

The first, Facebook, will ban ads that guarantee a cure or create a sense of urgency. For example, ads claiming face masks will fully prevent the spread of the virus won't be allowed. Google is putting an alert on top of search results pages with "safety tips, info and resources" as well as Twitter updates from the World Health Organization.

Twitter will also direct users posting or searching about coronavirus to credible information first.
