I’ve learned a huge thing about Nascar over the last 24 hours, safety in the sport has come a LONG way. After suffering a horrific crash 48 hours ago, Ryan Newman is walking and has left the hospital.

The crash was so bad, it took rescuers 10 minutes to extract Newman from his car and the fact that he’s walking days later is amazing, and means these cars are safer than ever.

Another side note to this story hits the Maney Roy and LauRen Show personally. Ryan Blaney who’s car was pushing Newman when he crashed, is a friend  of the show having called in several times. According to Blaney’s friend Bubba Wallace he spent time with Blaney on Tuesday and advised him to stay off social media for a few days. Wallace later took to Twitter.
