According to the housing website, Curbed, both Raleigh & Charlotte made the national list for "best places to live."
When calculating these national results, they looked at things such as walkability, diversity, housing costs, job opportunities and more. The site was very impressed with Charlotte's different artsy neighborhoods and the Sugar Creek greenway. They called Charlotte a "millennial boomtown."
Raleigh got chosen because of all of the job opportunities and projects they currently have going.
When I first moved to Charlotte I wasn't expecting it to be so different than Raleigh, but it really is. They are two completely different cities. While Raleigh will always be home for me, I sure am glad I have three more years in Charlotte!
