We all know that the Super Bowl is the Holy Grail for advertisers. But as quiet as it’s kept, there are some companies that decided against commercials this year.
For instance Mint Mobile – Ryan Reynolds’ mobile company – decided to take out a full-page ad in the New York Timesto explain why they chose to forego the $5-point-6 million dollar TV ad. And Stella Artois opted to sponsor a three-day event in Miami.
Other companies that said no included Burger King, Skechers, Wix, Sony, and Warner Bros.
