One of the northbound lanes on I-77 was closed for hours yesterday (1/29) after an Amazon Prime truck got into a crash, which then cause packages to spill on the side of the interstate.
It all happened near Exit 45 to Amity Hill Road, near Statesville around 9:30 am yesterday.
A spokesperson from Amazon had this to say,
“Safety is our top priority and we wish the driver a full recovery. We are working with the third party carrier as they investigate the incident.”
So if you receive a dented package in a few days... this might be why!
