While reporting updates on the death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, MSNBC news anchor Allison Morris referred to the Los Angles Lakers as the n-word(s).

During the broadcast, Morris said that Bryant was the “the kind of star that was perfectly cast on the Los Angeles [n-word(s)].”

However, Morris took to Twitter to say that she didn’t use the n-word. “Earlier today, while reporting on the tragic news of Kobe Bryant’s passing, I, unfortunately, stuttered on-air, combining the names of the Knicks and the Lakers to say ‘Nakers.'” Morris tweeted.

“Please know I did not & would NEVER use a racist term. I apologize for the confusion this caused.
