A new report says there are currently five times as many 17 and 18-year-olds wanting to work in art, culture, entertainment, and sports than there are jobs available in those fields. What’s that mean? That they’re essentially “destined for disappointment.” And to make matters worse, it seems they don’t have a fallback because 51% of them say they’re uninterested in doing anything else.

The report says young people’s aspirations are set as young as seven and they’re basically set in stone. So regardless of job demands, or better opportunities, young folks don’t seem to change their mind during their teenage years.
