Some Good News Actually Came Out Of LauRen’s Home State Of Florida
LAKE TABOURIE, AUSTRALIA - JANUARY 04: Residents look on as flames burn through bush on January 04, 2020 in Lake Tabourie, Australia. A state of emergency has been declared across NSW with dangerous fire conditions forecast for Saturday, as more than 140 bushfires continue to burn. There have been eight confirmed deaths in NSW since Monday 30 December. 1365 homes have been lost, while 3.6 million hectares have been burnt this fire season. (Photo by Brett Hemmings/Getty Images)
Typically, when I see my home state of Florida in the news I brace myself for what I might find out next, but this time I found a heroic tale!
A heroic teen rushed into his family’s burning home to save two young relatives. James Henry, 18, ran into the house in Miami as it was engulfed in flames and he got four-year-old Josiah and his younger sister Madison out of danger.
Henry says he was outside in the car when the blaze broke out and his mom came out yelling “fire,” so he sprang into action to help save his family members.
It doesn’t happen often, (especially in Miami ) but I was proud of my home state of Florida and James Henry for this heroic deed.
