Beyonce, Lizzo Lead 2020 NAACP Image Award Nominations

The 2020 NAACP Image Award nominations are in, and Beyonce and Lizzo are the big nominees. Beyonce got eight nods, across all categories, while Lizzo garnered six nominations, as Variety reports.

Actresses Regina King and Angela Bassett both earned nominations for their roles in a drama series for HBO’s Watchmen and Foxy’s 9-1-1. Pose’s (FX) Billy Porter also garnered a nomination for a television drama series.

When it comes to television categories, streaming behemoth Netflix takes the lead with 30 nominations while Universal Pictures tops the film nominations, collecting 15 nods.

RCA Records leads in the recording categories, garnering 14 nominations while Penguin Random House leads with eight nominations in the literary categories. The 2020 NAACP Image Awards air live on Feb. 22, with a two-hour special on BET networks. The full list of nominees for the 51st annual NAACP Image Awards is below.
