Her freedom walk is the sweetest thing.

Sandi the shelter dog is free…finally! Sandi, a 12-year-old pit bull-boxer mix, spent half of her life at the Marion-Grant County Humane Society in Indiana. She was finally adopted on Jan. 3 by the Rhodes family.

Sandi has her own Instagram page for people to follow her journey. Too sweet!

12-year-old dog takes "freedom walk" out of shelter after being adopted

A 12-year-old dog named Sandi was finally been adopted last week - after spending more than 6 years in a shelter. "She's been here longer than any employee. ... She's kind of the boss," a staff member at the Marion-Grant County Humane Society told CBS News.
