Weekdays 6:00AM-10:00AM

I love me some good news!

When loved ones are deployed far away, military families may not feel like the holidays are the most wonderful time of the year. However, one group is working to make things merry and bright for them by giving one essential for the holidays: Christmas trees.

I have personally had the opportunity to perform for our troops abroad when I was cheering for the Miami Dolphins in my 20’s and I can tell you our deployed military misses their families something awful this time of year and I am sure their families feel the same! This program will add a little holiday cheer to make things a little brighter for them.

Trees for Troops is a program that provides free, farm-grown Christmas trees to military bases. This year, their eight volunteers and one paid staffer will help get 16,000 trees to more than 74 bases across the country. Hundreds of other volunteers help make this Christmas magic happen and there’s a waiting list because the demand for the trees is much bigger than the supply.
