There’s nothing better than treating yourself to a decadent pastry from your favorite coffee shop.  But, it would be even better if you could enjoy them at home any time you wanted.  With this recipe it’s so simple to do using only a few ingredients.

Ingredients:

1 roll crescent rolls

1 can fruit pie filling ( I used cherry, but pick your fave…apple, peach, etc.)

1/3 cup sugar

splash of vanilla flavoring

4 oz. softened cream cheese

1/3 cup powdered sugar

2 tsp. milk

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350.  Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla with a mixer until fluffy.  Open container of rolls, but do not unroll them.  Use a serrated knife to slice them cookie dough style into ten equal slices.  Lay them on parchment lined baking sheet.  Flatten each slightly.  Use a small spoon to make a well for the filling.  Dollop cream cheese mixture into each well.  Top with small amount of cherry filling.  Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.  Remove and allow to cool slightly.  Stir together powdered sugar and milk to make icing.  Drizzle over each of the cooled pastries.
