“Basically, what you realize is that you’re not in control. No matter how much you think you’re in control, you’re not in control. And at the end of the day, it could all be over,” actor and comedian Kevin Hart said in a video he recently shared on Instagram.

The heartfelt video documents Hart’s road to recovery and what’s he’s learned along the way following his terrifying car crash.

“When God talks, you have to listen. I swear life is funny because some of the craziest things that happen to you end up being the things that you needed most,” Hart said while partaking in physical therapy.

“In this case, I honestly feel like God told me to sit down. When you’re moving too fast and you’re doing too much, sometimes, you can’t see the things you are meant to see.”

Hart said that now he appreciates life and has a whole new perspective, before showing gratitude to those who have stood by him following his accident.

“Thank you for all of your love and support. Don’t take today for granted because tomorrow is not promised,” Hart said before concluding his video.
