According to Hollywood Reporter, Robert Evans had a reputation in Hollywood for being charming, feisty, and flamboyant. Variety describes Evans by saying, "His distinctive look and speaking style turned him into a cult figure, and he had the distinction of being the only film executive who starred in his own animated TV series."
Robert Evan is survived by his son, actor and director, Josh Evans. He also had a grandson.
Evans' ex-wife Ali MacGraw released a statement about him, saying, "Our son, Joshua, and I will miss Bob tremendously, and we are so very proud of his enormous contribution to the film industry. He will be remembered as a giant."
