Halloween Tips and Tricks

They are easy to make and you can personalize them however you wish!

Step 1: Unwrap caramel candies

You don’t need to home make the candies. Instead, go to your local grocery store and grab those pre-wrapped candies! Caramel isn’t always peoples first choice either, you can use milk chocolate or white chocolate too!

Step 2: Melt candies

Place your candy-filled pan over medium-low heat and add 2 tablespoons water. Grab a wooden spoon or plastic spatula and stir frequently until candy is completely melted (no lumps). Remember, keep an eye on the candies because if they burn they will become bitter-tasting.

Step 3: Start dippin’

This is the fun, but sometimes messy part! Remove your pan from heat and work quickly to coat your apples in caramel. You can hold the handle of the pot and tilt it towards you so the caramel gathers all on one side.

Step 4: Coat them with goodies of your choice

Once you finish coating each apple with caramel, go ahead and dip them directly in your toppings. Need ideas? How about toasted chopped peanuts, crushed cinnamon cereal, chopped Reese’s Pieces, multi-colored sprinkles, chopped Oreos, etc. Get creative!

Step 5: Refrigerate

And of course, enjoy!
