OMG, these cell phone bills are expensive, but the most costly text and phone call might cost you a car crash. The National Safety Council reports that cell phone use while driving leads to 1.6 million crashes each year. Nearly 390,000 injuries occur each year from accidents caused by texting while driving. One out of every four car accidents in the United States is caused by texting and driving.

38% of teenagers are known for constantly texting and driving, creating one more distracted drivers that we don’t need on the roads. How do we change these statistics since parents can’t be in the car with their kids to remind them to put it down? There are options to change the statistics.

  1. If you have teenage drivers, this one might be for you; it’s call The Life360 app, and it’s free! It informs you whenever they leave their current location, and lets you know their phone battery, and shows you their last driving route. During their driving route, you can see how often they use their phone. If you find it being a habit, you can intervene.
  2. And lastly the other free app is called: OnMyWay, They say you can get money back for being off your phone. Another free app to keep you and your kids off the phone. Making the roads safer for you, your family, and everyone else on the roads is important!
