Kesha is back in the spotlight and is ready for the next chapter in her life and music career. The singer is on the cover of Billboard, and in the accompanying interview, she discussed topics from her legal issues for the defamation and breach-of-contract suit she is currently still battling to her future goals.
On her lawsuit with Dr. Luke, Kesha isn’t allowed to say much, but she does give some insight. “There are so many what-ifs, and quite honestly, I’m not allowed to talk about it. And I’m really not used to not being an open book about everything – but I do have to defer to my lawyers on this one, and they’re just like, ‘Focus on the music, focus on your happiness and mental health, and we’ll deal with this.’ Doing that has been greatly helpful.”
Kesha also talks about what she wants to in terms of her career. She explains that she is “Writing the f— out of some pop songs.” She says, “I dug through the emotional wreckage, and now… I can go back to talking a little bit of s—. I really want to put a solid footprint back into pop music, like, ‘I can do this, and I can do this on my own.’
Kesha also confidently adds, “I got my balls back, and they’re bigger than ever.”
