I admit, I have had my fair share of weird sleep experiences, and I bet you have as well. But, not many of us can say we've swallowed our engagement rings. One lady, woke up the next morning remembering she swallowed her engagement ring, but she thought it was apart of her dream until looking down and her ring wasn't on her finger. She ended up having to have it surgically removed. Ouch! That’s not the only weird thing we as humans do in our sleep.

Sleep Paralysis is one of the craziest, and scariest things we do. It takes place during our REM sleep as our bodies are paralyzed but our minds are awake. Waking dreams is another common one humans encounter due to lack of sleep. It can involve anything like the sound of someone knocking to the sight of a monster coming to their bed. REM-behavior.-disorder is the finale one. People who don't experience paralysis during dream sleep are at risk for this disorder which causes them to act out during dream sleep. In 1980 there was a famous case where a man drove 14 miles, killed his mother-in-law and almost killed his father-in-law. His lawyers convinced the jury he was sleepwalking and he was acquitted. REM-behavior-disorder is triggered by a stroke, tumor, or a genetic abnormality. Sleep is a great thing as long as we're not swallowing our wedding ring!
