Drew applied his expert knowledge to developing large-scale blood banks early in World War II. Thanks to Dr. Charles Drew who invented a way to process and preserve blood plasma, allowing it to be stored and shipped for blood transfusions; you’re invited by Delta Sigma Theta and Omega Psi Phi on September 21, 2019 from 10 am to 3 pm at Omegas of Charlotte Fraternity House located at 3301 Statesville Ave, Charlotte, NC 28206. The goal is to collect 80 units of blood.
