Sports fan or not, the Iowa Hawkeyes tradition of supporting families is known as one of the greatest in history. This Saturday, August 31st, the Iowa Hawkeyes will continue making history waving to the children at the Children's Hospital.  University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital was built alongside the Kinnick Stadium where the Iowa Hawkeyes play all of their home games. Coincidence?

Not a coindence at all! The Children's Hospital has 5 stories of windows overlooking the field, giving the children and their families something to look forward to every Saturday. Before every home game, they take the children who can't physically go and sit in the stands and give them an option to the watch from a better point of view. At the end of the first quarter, everyone in the stands and on the field dedicate it to the children by waving, to help them let go and give their parents hope! No one seems to be alone in the Hawkeye family.
