A gun store Nichols, in Rock Hill, has said that they’ve seen a spike in both bullet-proof backpacks, and bullet-proof backpack inserts over the past few days. And in the wake of recent mass shootings in Ohio and Texas, it’s easy to see why.
These backpacks are sparking controversy, but also flying off shelves with families willing to spend up to $300 for the protection. Office Depot is among the retailers selling bulletproof backpacks. One of the more popular models is on Amazon.
