My Daughter Took Her First Steps, and My Son Cried About It!
My 1-year-old daughter Ruby, took her first steps the other day and when we told our 6-year-old son Dean his reaction was priceless!
If you remember a few years ago, we recorded a video of us telling our then 4-year-old son Dean that he was going to be a big brother. It didn’t go well, he denied it with a series of “Nah ahs” and then walked out. The video went viral and I’m sure you can find it under “kid gets upset when finding out he’ll be a big brother.” Dean’s transformation into a great big brother has been amazing to watch! My wife and I picked him up from camp the other day and we told him Ruby took 3 first steps. He put his hand over his mouth like an old lady who just heard someone cus, then started to tear up and then said: “ohhhh she’s growing up so fast!” My wife, Dean and I all sat in the car tearing up. Being a parent is amazing until he and his sister started a screaming contest in the back of the car! haha. My wife grabbed a few shots of the moment…
