A Place To Write

Charlotte LIT

Becoming an author is easy, yet many people can't bring themselves to hit the send button to a publisher or even self publish through the many online bookmaking and publishing tools. Now there's a local non-profit named Charlotte Lit to assist us if we're in need of honing our writing chops.

For instance, Charlotte Lit’s Authors Lab program helps to get a book out of our head and onto paper. They have these craft classes, including a cohort community, customized coaching and so much more to get us on the road to authorship! Charlotte Center for Literary Arts, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts center dedicated to elevating and celebrating the literary arts in our community. Charlotte Lit was formed in August 2015 by writers Kathie Collins and Paul Reali (who jointly serve as the organization’s executive director) and began offering this type of programming in February 2016.
