Shawn Johnson Opens Up About Pregnancy Complications

Shawn Johnson just opened up about some very scary news regarding her pregnancy

It's been a long and bumpy ride for former Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson, and her husband Andrew East when it comes to having a baby. The couple miscarried a year ago, and went viral for sharing their heartbreaking story with the world through their YouTube Channel. The two then announced they were expecting again, and all seemed great, until this past week.

The couple took to YouTube to share that after their first ultrasound, they discovered their pregnancy had some pretty scary complications. Not only did the baby have really undeveloped kidneys, which were retaining a lot of fluid, she also found out that she has a two-vessel umbilical cord, increasing the “risk of stillbirth and the baby not making it to term and the baby not getting enough nutrients or having too much toxins in their body.”

These two complications also HIGHLY increase the likelihood that their baby would have a genetic issues as well.

A few days later however, some good news came. The couple found out that the baby's genetic testing came back normal, and the baby grew in size. PHEW!

This couple seems so adorable and I am so invested in their baby at this point! So happy they were able to get some good news after such a scary doctor's visit.
