Authorities are investigating the very mysterious murder of a women from Charlotte, and her Australian boyfriend
24-year-old Chynna Deese, of Charlotte, and her 23-year-old boyfriend, Lucas Fowler, were found shot to death along the Alaska Highway in British Columbia last week. The couple was on a road trip through Canada.
Police reportedly believe they were killed between July 14-15.
It’s being reported that the couple was traveling in a van, that had broken down the previous day. One witness stopped and spoke to the couple, and said they seemed to be in good spirits despite their car trouble.
This is so sad! Chynna Deese, went to my same Alma mater, Appalachian State University, and we actually have quite a few mutual friends on social media. Although I personally never met her, from the words of her family and friends, she seemed like an amazing person. My thoughts go out to the family and friends of her, and her boyfriend, and I hope they can find some answers to such a senseless act of violence.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help. Anyone with information about the case is urged to the Northern Rockies Royal Canadian Mounted Police at 250-774-2700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Investigators are especially interested in any video of the area where the bodies were found.
